OXFORD United have announced Tariqe Fosu has agreed to become their second major summer signing for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old, who is out in Portugal at the club's pre-season training camp, has committed to a three-year contract.
It is a move which will come as little surprise to supporters, having been on the verge of completion for several weeks.
U's boss Karl Robinson, who brought the attacker to Charlton Athletic in 2017, made Fosu one of his top summer targets.
The Addicks offered him a new contract following their promotion to the Sky Bet Championship in May, but it is believed that was only done to ensure they received a fee.
Fosu announced his departure from Charlton Athletic on Instagram last Tuesday, with boss Lee Bowyer telling the South London Press the wide man was signing for the U’s.
With his contract expiring yesterday, he became a free agent today.
Fosu is looking forward to getting started.
He said: “The club has a good stadium, manager and set-up.
“Obviously I know Karl from his Charlton days and I know what he’s about, so I think it’s a good deal.
“Me and Karl got on really well, so as soon as he called me I was up for it.”
Robinson was thrilled to get the deal over the line.
The U’s boss said: “He’s a fantastic player.
“Tariqe will play off the left. He’s quick, he’s powerful, and he scores goals.”
The former Reading trainee is the second senior addition to the squad, following midfielder Alex Rodriguez Gorrin's move from Motherwell last month.
Fosu scored 11 goals in 65 games for the Addicks, including netting against United in a 1-1 draw at the Kassam Stadium in October 2017.

He also spent time on loan at Fleetwood Town, Accrington Stanley and Colchester United before joining Charlton for an undisclosed fee two years ago.
