DANNY Barnes and Kieran Goss have re-signed for Chinnor.

The duo played a key role in the Thame-based side’s promotion from the fourth tier in 2017/18 and their debut year in National League 1 last season.

Captain Barnes, who can play at centre and on the wing, has made 81 appearances since signing for Chinnor three years ago, missing just nine games in that time.

Full-back Goss first joined the club on loan from Cornish Pirates in 2015, before making the move permanent for the 2016/17 campaign.

Both players are close to reaching the three-figure mark in terms of Chinnor appearances and director of rugby Matt Williams is delighted to retain them.

He said: “To have two of our most senior boys within touching distance of 100 games adds to a special season.

“I know they will both play a big part in the success of the season both on and off the field."
