OXFORD United are believed to be interested in out-of-contract Motherwell duo Chris Cadden and Alex Gorrin, according to reports north of the border.

The Herald say the U’s have enquired about the compensation fee required to sign 22-year-old winger Cadden.

While The Scottish Sun have tonight reported that they understand his teammate Gorrin is also on the verge of joining Karl Robinson’s side.

It is understood Aberdeen, Polish club Lech Poznan and MLS sides Toronto and Atlanta United are also interested in the Spanish midfielder.

It is believed the Sky Bet League One club would have to pay around £270,000 to secure the services of Scotland international Cadden, who has been offered a new deal by Motherwell.

The 22-year-old, who can also play at right-back and in the centre of midfield, came through the youth system at Fir Park.

He has made 139 appearances since 2013, scoring 14 goals.

Gorrin joined Motherwell from Romanian side Sepsi Sfântu Gheorghe 12 months ago.

The 25-year-old, who made 24 appearances last season, has rejected a contract extension.
