Oxford City have been placed back in the National League North after the restructuring of the non-league pyramid was announced yesterday.

If ratified at the league’s annual meeting on June 8, it will bring an end to their four-year stay in the South League.

City were in the north section for their first three years at the level, but they were switched across to the south in 2014/15.

However, both they and Gloucester City will revert back in to the north for next season.

Banbury United will stay in the South League Premier Central division, while Wantage Town, promoted from the Hellenic League, will join the other four Oxfordshire sides in Division 1 Central.

Didcot Town, Kidlington, North Leigh and Thame United all keep their places, meaning there will be a host of local derbies next season.

Ardley United, as expected, kept their place in the Hellenic Premier League, where they will be joined by newly-promoted Easington Sports.

Abingdon United have been relegated to Division 1 East.
