EDDIE Pepperell’s struggles on the Bethpage Black Course continued as he missed the cut at the US PGA Championship.
The Abingdon golfer shot a five-over-par 75 in the second round today.
It saw the Frilford Heath member slip to 11 over for the tournament as he finished way down the field.
Pepperell already had his work cut out after carding a six-over-par 76 in the first round.
The World No 33, who finished in a share of second place at last week’s British Masters, made a solid start with four straight pars.
But he dropped shots at the fifth and seventh holes to reach the turn in a two-over-par 37.
Another bogey then followed at the 11th after he found two separate bunkers.
Pepperell dropped further shots at the 15th and 17th as his third appearance at the championship came to an early end.
