OXFORD United suffered their second defeat in a week as they lost 2-0 at Coventry United in the FA Women’s National League last night.
Having had their six-match unbeaten run ended at the hands of Plymouth Argyle at the weekend, the U’s faced a tough test at the Southern Premier Division leaders.
Goals from Amber Hughes and Beth Merrick for Coventry condemned United to back-to-back defeats.
It leaves the U’s fourth in the table with four games to go.
They are next in action on Sunday, April 14, hosting Portsmouth at Court Place Farm.
