COVENTRY City will be out to keep up their fine run of form when they welcome Oxford United to the Ricoh Arena tomorrow.

The Sky Blues have won five of their last seven matches to put themselves in the mix for a Sky Bet League One play-off place.

Coventry are top of the division’s form table and seem to be undeterred by the club’s off-field problems.

It has been reported this week that owners Sisu rejected a £7m takeover bid, while their future at the Ricoh is uncertain because of ongoing legal action.

It makes the job manager Mark Robins has done all the more remarkable.

And U’s boss Karl Robinson pointed to Coventry’s form as proof of how a couple of good results can prove vital.

He said: “They’ve found themselves on a run and it just shows you what a short-term run can really do.

“I’m talking three or four wins can really propel you if you are in that middle section of the league.

“They were not too far off the group we’re in and now they find themselves competing for that last (play-off) spot.

“It looks like it’s going to be between Coventry, Peterborough and Doncaster.”
