MIKE Procter and Grace Bradney were among the success stories for Bicester Blue Fins at the final rounds of the Oxfordshire and North Buckinghamshire County Championships.

The pair won medals at both galas, held over successive weekends in Aylesbury.

Procter scooped four

top-three finishes in the 17 and over category across the double meeting.

He won the 50m butterfly, silvers in the freestyle over 50m and 100m, while he was part of a 50m freestyle relay team with Andy Smith, Josh Rowland and Ryan Steward which finished third.

Bradney secured a regional qualifying time with silver in the 100m backstroke, a week after claiming bronze over 200m.

Other highlights included Will Jones, 13, who took gold in the 50m freestyle in a time which qualified him for the regional championships.

Bethany Taylor impressed in the freestyle, taking gold in the multi-class 50m and silver over 200m, while Archie Steward, 11, was third in the 50m breaststroke in his first County event.

“We have witnessed some spectacular swims which have included medals, pbs and regional qualifying times.
