BICESTER were unable to make their pressure count as they were beaten 3-2 at home by title-chasing Henley 2nd.
The hosts flew out of the traps and created a couple of early chances in the MBBO Division 1 fixture.
But Henley weathered the storm and took the lead following a counter-attack.
Bicester continued to apply pressure, before a well-worked short corner routine led to Ollie Hartley’s equaliser.
It was soon 2-1 to the hosts as Jonny Reid scored from another short corner.
But Henley raised their game after the break and levelled.
Bicester continued to turn the screw, squandering several chances.
And the misses were punished when a brilliant drag flick earned Henley victory.
Elsewhere, Alex Vizard and Cath Hawkes both scored twice as Bicester Ladies 2nd beat Abingdon 2nd 4-3 in Trysports Three Counties League Division 3.
