ARDLEY United will be looking to end their good week with a victory when they travel to Clanfield 85 in

the Oxfordshire Senior Cup.

The side head into Saturday’s fixture on the back of a thumping 6-0 win at home to Wallingford Town in the Uhlsport Hellenic League’s Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup on Tuesday.

Ardley’s convincing second-round victory followed a 1-1 draw with Windsor last Saturday in the Premier Division.

On Tuesday night, six different players found the net against Division 1 East side Wallingford.

Ardley were 3-0 up at half-time, thanks to goals from Conor Harris, George Smith and Billy Gillett.

Their dominance continued after the break with Jordan Moore, Drew Boyd and Harley Giles also on target.

Ardley will now face either Wantage Town or Almondsbury in the third round.

Gillett also scored on Saturday in the north Oxfordshire side’s 1-1 draw at home to Windsor in the Premier Division.

His penalty put Ardley in front, but the visitors equalised to earn a share of the spoils.
