JOSHUA Scrivener marked his first Oxfordshire and North Buckinghamshire County Championships with a gold medal.
The Bicester Blue Fins youngster, nine, triumphed in the 11 and under 400m freestyle at Aqua Vale.
The Aylesbury venue and the Leys Pools and Leisure Centre, Oxford, played host to the first three rounds of the championships.
Freddie Whybrow, 19, and Tia Falkner, 15, secured regional base times as they set personal bests in the 1,500m freestyle in the opening event in Oxford.
The same venue hosted the second round, with Whybrow matching his achievement from the previous week, while Tia Falkner, 15, and William Jones, 13, impressed in the 800m freestyle.
Scrivener led the way at Aqua Vale last weekend.
Jones also excelled in the 400m freestyle to win silver as he knocked 16 seconds off his pb.
