DIDCOT Town boss Andy Ballard is urging his side to continue their good form when they entertain

high-flying Corby Town in Division 1 Central tomorrow.

Five Evo-Stik South League wins in their last six games have helped the Railwaymen climb to just outside the play-off places.

But boss Ballard knows the magnitude of this weekend’s test against a Corby side who are just two points off the top of the table.

He said: “We’ve had a tough week with seven players unavailable through suspension or injury.

“I was disappointed with our result at Coleshill last Saturday (a 2-1 defeat), but we put that right in midweek at Aylesbury (a 4-2 win).

“The Corby game is a massive test for us.

“They are a top non-league side who have a squad full of players with experience from higher divisions.

“We’re still struggling with availability, but I’m confident that we can get something from the game.

“I want us to focus on being hard to beat – and ideally get a clean sheet – as that will stand us in good stead.”

John Dennis, George Reid, Morgan Williams, Matty Woodley and Seth Humphries all remain sidelined through injury, while Cameron McNeill is still suspended.

Thame United boss Mark West wants his team to bounce back at home to Welwyn Garden City.

The side lost 2-1 against Dunstable Town last weekend, but remain in the play-offs.

“We were poor, there’s no doubt about that,” said West.

“But that’s gone. There’s nothing we can do about it. We have to look to tomorrow and hopefully put things right.”

West has been delighted with his side’s overall form in the last month, and the defeat will not force any changes.

He said: “We’ve been on a brilliant run and the lads have been magnificent.

“It’s not like I’m going to wield the axe after one defeat – I’ve got a pretty small squad anyway – so that’s not going to happen.”

Andy Gledhill and Jamie Essex return, but Tom Carter has been recalled by Oxford City.

West added: “We’ve got a lot of games coming up over Christmas, and if I’d been told pre-season that we’d be fifth by Christmas, I’d have taken that.

“I’m really looking forward to seeing a response from the lads tomorrow.”

North Leigh manager Craig Dore is desperate for a change of fortune when they travel to Yaxley.

The Millers were seven minutes away from claiming a notable draw against Bedford Town last weekend, only to concede a late own goal to slip to a 3-2 defeat.

And Dore, who believes he will be fielding his strongest side of the season, is looking for his luck to change.

He said: “Bedford were better than us in the first half, but second half we played well and got back to 2-2.

“Their winner was an own goal which went in off Alfie Grant, who knew nothing about it.

“It was incredible bad luck, but there’s nothing you can do about it.

“We’re bottom of the table, but it’s not the end of the world.

“We’ve got a busy Christmas ahead against sides all around us, so it’s a crucial period.”

Jordy Ngathe is set to make his debut tomorrow.

Dore added: “It’s going to be a big boost having Jordy in the side. He’s a top player and it’s a great signing for us.”

Kidlington look to continue their upturn in form when they travel to Barton Rovers.

Seven points from their last four games have helped Julian McCalmon’s side climb off the bottom of the table.

Jack Quainton is added to the squad.

Banbury United host second-placed Kettering Town in Premier Division Central.

The Purtians are looking for their first win since November 20 after four successive draws.
