HOLDERS Mark Trafford and Ian Gordon are through to the semi-finals of the Oxford & District League’s Pairs Cup, writes PETE EWINS.
The duo saw off the Masons partnership of Dave Rose and Alan Lowe 3-0, with leg scores of 11,290-2,210, 3,080-2,260 and 11,270-1,500 in their clash at the Donnington Club.
The Vikings duo of Alan Oliver and Ian Moss also booked their place in the last four.
They beat Oracle’s Vinnie Brown and John-Joe Kelly 3-0 at Berinsfield.
They are joined in the latter stages of the competition by teammates Allan Lacey and Mike Jones.
The Vikings pair saw off Berinsfield’s John Boal and David Naylor 3-1 at Gladiators Club, despite seeing Boal make a break of 9,860 in the third leg.
Elsewhere, West Oxford Democrats Club won their Threes match against Donnington at Vikings.
