OXFORDSHIRE Under 14s enjoyed mixed fortunes in their Shires League double-header.
A 13-7 victory over Surrey 2nd was followed by a 19-1 defeat against Surrey at Abingdon’s St Helen and St Katharine School.
Ben Horseman, Freddie Driver, Jack Needell, Clement Jin, Zoe Soonawalla, Jeevika Tilakraj, Rachel Wang and Lydia Fehse made up their team.
Elsewhere, Maddy Cook made the long trip to Penrith, Cumbria, for their under 17 bronze tournament and came away with a silver medal for the girls doubles.
At the Leicester under 15 silver tournament, Adam Burden won gold in the mixed doubles, while Jason Ou won bronze in doubles.
