THREE Bicester Triathlon Club members completed a challenge with a difference.
Head coach Clare Lawrence and teammates Cynthia and Martin Leader swam a marathon at the London Aquatics Centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The race saw swimmers start at one end of the 50m pool, ducking under the rope to enter the next lane, until they reached the other end.
They then had to run poolside to dive back into the first lane to complete ten laps of the 10k distance.
Lawrence clocked 3hrs 34mins 58secs, finishing 67th out of 170 solo swimmers.
The Leaders entered as a team, taking turns to swim, and clocked 4.01.4 for 38th place out of 57 teams.
