OXFORD United’s anniversary celebrations were the perfect excuse for former staff members to get together and reminisce.

A number of Manor Ground employees – some of whom are still at the club – met before Saturday’s match against Shrewsbury Town.

And after going out for a meal at full-time, there was only one place to end the night – their old haunt at Headington’s Britannia Inn, just across the road from

their former workplace.

Darren Bowler, who worked in the ticket office, and Hilary Sillman, who spent 37 years at the club and is best known for her role as commercial manager, organised the event and were delighted to see a number of old faces.
