SWIMMING: Mike Procter collected three of Bicester Blue Fins’ five golds in the Oxfordshire Masters Championship at Maidenhead.

Competing in the 25-29 age group, Procter won the 50m butterfly in 27.08secs, the 100m butterfly (1.00.37) and 50m backstroke (29.41), as well as taking silver in the 200m IM (3.04.57pb).

Hannah Mansfield won the 18-24 200m backstroke (2.54.82) and claimed silvers in the 200m freestyle (2.35.13) and the 200m IM (3.04.57).

Alison McGregor took the 25-29 50m backstroke with 37.90 and was third in the 100m freestyle (1.11.66).

Francis Varney secured a silver in the 30-34 50m butterfly (30.73) and bronze in the 100m freestyle (1.03.08).

TRIATHLON: Bicester’s Bob Gill came a superb 15th overall – and third for Team GB

(60-64) – in the ITU World Grand Final in Australia with a time of 2hrs 21mins 41secs.

Competing in the sprint for Bicester were Carole Gibbs (50-54) and Jack Goodwin (16-19), finishing in 1.22.03 and 1.07.14 respectively.
