BICESTER’S Macie Thomas is a world champion at the tender age of six.
The youngster claimed gold at the Junior BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) World Championships in Wolverhampton, beating the only opponent in her age group.
She was among 12 members competing at the event, from the Roger Gracie Academy in Bicester, where they are trained by David Plested and Natalie Day.
Nine of them took medals, with silvers going to Grace Bishop, Loch Davidson and Esme Brow, while Kaylee Hobbes, Alex Davidson, Mya Collins and Alexander Sinclair and Iris Plested took bronzes.
