FOUR members of Bicester Triathlon Club secured high age group finishes when representing Great Britain in the ETU European Championships in Estonia.

The swim took place in the River Emajõgi, the bike route took the athletes out of Tartu, while the run was through the city itself.

Chris Mackie finished 25th in 35-39 age group in a time of 2hrs 11 mins 12secs.

Christopher Finister came 15th in the 45-49 event in 2.08.0, while Andrew Burnett was 14th in the 50-59 group in 2.16.17.

Pride of place went to Bob Gill, who crossed the line in eighth place in the 60-64 category in 2.18.54.

Meanwhile, Bicester’s Stephanie Harrison was one of 750 swimmers to take part in the ‘Pub to Club’ river swim in the Thames at Henley.

She recorded 30.09 for the 1.5k course, taking two minutes off last year’s time.
