BICESTER BC are on the up after moving into their new home and becoming members of England Boxing.

The club have upped roots to the centre of the town, with the Wedgwood Road-based premises kitted out and refurbished with the latest equipment.

Bicester have also registered with England Boxing, allowing their fighters to try to compete in numerous national and international events as well as the Olympic Games.

Head coach Daza Usher said: “We are really pleased with our progress.

“We have a great team of amateur and professional boxers/trainers, as well as a fully functional exercise facility for people that would like to use boxing training as a way to get fit.”

Scott James and Adi Burden have secured dates for their next contests.

Super welterweight James will fight as part of the MTK Birmingham promotion on July 23 at the Allen James Centre, Coventry.

Burden, a super middleweight, competes for the British Challenge belt – his first eight-round contest – at York Hall, London, on September 22.
