BEN West retained his individual under 17 Division 2 title at the final round of the Chiltern Cross Country League in Campbell Park, Milton Keynes.
The Bicester teenager has been in impressive form throughout and has been challenging alongside Division 1 athletes.
West finished second in the under 17 race at Milton Keynes, just four seconds behind Jack Meijer, with whom he has battled all season, in a time of 18mins 55secs.
The duo were 50 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
West finished one point ahead of Stevenage’s Sam Wiggins in the overall Division 2 individual standings.
Bicester teammate Max Nicolle also had a fine year, finishing second in the under 15 standings.
He was not present for the final round, but had already done enough for a place in the top two.
Clubmate Edward Jolliffe, therefore, led the team home in 20th, five places ahead of Samuel Worfolk, while Michael Albourzpur was 44th.
In the under 13 girls competition, Imogen Cox ran a solid race to cross the line in 40th, with Anna Joliffe 59th.
