AN encouraging run by Oliver Conway was the highlight of Bicester AC’s participation in the Berks, Bucks & Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships at Reading.
Competing in his first season of cross-country, Conway finished an excellent sixth out of 40 in the under 13 boys race, clocking 11mins 4secs – just 31 seconds behind the winner.
Bicester clubmates Samuel Worfolk and Michael Alborzpour enjoyed a close tussle in in the under 15 event.
Worfolk just got the better of the battle, coming 25th (12.53) – just three seconds ahead of Alborzpour in 27th.
Jamie Conway came 38th in 13.38.
Bicester’s only female finisher was Amy Willis, who was 32nd in the under 13 race, clocking 13.37.
