Bicester men went down 6-5 in an amazing match away to High Wycombe 2nd in Middlesex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon Division 1.

The visitors soon found themselves trailing 2-0, but hit back when Jonny Reid’s shot was stopped by a foot on the line, and CJ Birtles dispatched the penalty flick.

Reid then rifled a shot into the corner for 2-2.

Another short corner gave Wycombe the lead before Adam Drewitt made it 3-3 at half-time.

Bicester went ahead with a second Birtles penalty, but Wycombe scored three times.

Ian Oak bundled the ball over to set up a frantic finish as Bicester searched for a point to no avail.

Ben Kirk’s second hat-trick in two games helped Bicester 2nd stroll to a 4-0 win at home to Leighton Buzzard 2nd in their Division 5 encounter.

Kirk opened his account on 30 seconds after pouncing on a loose pass straight from the visitors’ push-back and firing in.

They doubled their lead with a close-range finish from Johnny Winspear from Steve Birtles’ penalty corner.

Kirk got his second with a spectacular finish, before completing his treble with a fierce drive for 4-0.

Bicester 3rd fought back from 3-0 down to salvage a 3-3 draw at home to Tring 2nd in Division 7.

Ash Ellison sparked the revival with a super finish, before a double from Nick Styles secured a point.

Bicester Ladies 4th broke their duck with a 1-0 home win against Thame 3rd in Trysports Three Counties League Division 6.

The only goal of the game came in the first half when Emily Winks fired in following a well-worked penalty corner routine.

Bicester were grateful to their keeper Rachael Levy who made a brilliant second-half penalty stroke save with her stick to preserve their lead.
