Sam Long has been offered the chance to stay on at Oxford United following contract discussions this week.
The 19-year-old, from Bicester, graduated from the youth team 12 months ago, making his senior debut as a late substitute in the final game of last season.
Long went on to make five appearances for the first team this season, starting his first game in the 1-1 draw at Morecambe in February.
The centre back is one of four development squad players now considering contract offers.
U’s head coach Gary Waddock said: “It is exciting to see so many young players coming through at the club.
“They will be part of the future.”
