An independent countryside cafe in Oxfordshire has announced its shock closure, as it shuts its doors for the last time today.
The Grain Store was a hugely popular cafe and eatery at The Hatchery in Middle Aston, near Bicester, a collection of independent businesses operating from a 'countryside hub' of converted poultry sheds.
But the business announced on Tuesday, September 29 that the next day's trading would be its last, closing its doors for good from Wednesday this week.
A statement from The Grain Store said: "The Grain Store will be permanently closing from tomorrow.
"We'd like to thank everyone who has visited us and supported the Grain Store during our time at Middle Aston.
"It's been a pleasure to serve you, and we're incredibly grateful to everyone who has stopped by along the way.
"Thank you from the whole Grain Store team."
The Hatchery has not yet announced any replacement cafe or restaurant for the centre, and the Grain Store has not indicated if it intends to open elsewhere.
