Scales of Justice results from Oxford Magistrates' Court

JANIEL MASON, 18, of Mayseys Close, Headington, Oxford, pleaded guilty to failing to stop when ordered to do so by a traffic officer, driving without third party insurance and driving without a licence on a Sur-Ron motorbike at William Morris Close, Oxford, on March 1 this year. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis, on the same occasion. He was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a fine of £100. An order was also made for the drugs to be destroyed.

JAMES WATT, 31, of Netherwoods Road, Headington, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop in Oxford on February 22 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £43.70. He was ordered to pay costs of £50 and he was handed a conditional discharge of six months.

KARL WISKIN,44, of Camm Drive, Milton, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to two counts of theft from a shop in Oxford on June 10 and 18 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £248.08. He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to police bail in Oxford on August 27 this year. He was ordered to pay compensation of £130.95.

BENJAMIN BRUMMITT, 31, of Boxhedge Road, Banbury, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer in Banbury on May 15 this year. He was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He was also ordered to complete 12 months of alcohol rehabilitation and pay costs of £85.

JOHN TWIST, 44, of Cowley Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer and once count of theft from a shop in Oxford on June 10 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £6.75. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £16, a fine of £40 and compensation of £6.75.

DANIEL PECK, 36, of Cromwell Road, Banbury, pleaded guilty to one count of common assault on a police officer in Banbury on June 17 this year. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £114 and compensation of £100. He was also ordered to complete six months of alcohol rehabilitation and comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of five days.

THOMAS TUCKEY, 27, of Church Street, Helmdon, Brackley, pleaded guilty to one count of drug driving in a VW Golf at Station Road, Ardley, on February 24 this year. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £138 and a fine of £346. He was also banned from the road for 12 months.

THOMAS BUCKINGHAM, 49, of Burwell Drive, Witney, pleaded guilty to one count of failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Abingdon Police Station on June 19 this year. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £160 and a fine of £400. He was also banned from the road for 12 months.

CHARLES CLARK, 25, of Masons Road, Headington, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving in a Vauxhall Astra at St Aldates. Oxford, on June 20 this year with 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £88 and a fine of £221. He was also banned from the road for 18 months, but this can be reduced by 18 weeks if a course is completed by August 23 next year.
