A warning has been issued after an arrest for a 'court no show' in an Oxfordshire town.

A local neighbourhood police team has warned the people of Banbury they will "take action" if they see those wanted by the courts.

This comes after officers made two arrests one for 'failing to appear at court' and the other for 'failing to comply with a community order'.

A spokesperson for the police's Cherwell unit said: "We know the people causing harm in our communities.

"We recognise faces, know our neighbourhoods, and act on the information provided by local residents.

"We are your local neighbourhood team, and when we come across those wanted by the courts, we will take action."
