The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
TONY COOKE, 26, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing a Ford Transit van, to the value of £9,750, in Trowbridge, on April 3 last year. He was jailed for eight weeks.
AJMAL JABARKHIL, 32, of Patrick Haugh Road, Upper Arncott, pleaded guilty to two counts of using racially / religiously aggravated intentional harassment / alarm / distress - words / writing in London on August 8 last year. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer on the same occasion. He was jailed for four weeks.
DANIEL SMITH, 46, of Marlborough Gardens, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates Court in March this year. He was ordered to pay costs of £60 and a fine of £166.
LOUIS DEAN, 35, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop in Portsmouth on February 1 this year to the value of £36.15. He was jailed for 36 weeks.
KASUN MABARANA, 36, of The Copeway, Banbury, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 50mph zone on the M11 in a BMW at Chigwell in Essex on June 17 last year. He was banned from the road for six months and given four penalty points. He was also ordered to pay costs of £130 and a fine of £415.
STEPHEN CARTER, 59, of Blenheim Road, Shirburn, Watlington, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 30mph zone in a Volkswagen Transporter at the Limehouse Link Tunnel near Hertsmere Road in London, on July 21 last year. He was banned from the road for six months and given three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay costs of £40, a victim surcharge of £16 and a fine of £40.
RENAN RIBEIRO, 33, of Thames View Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of being in possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis, in Barking, in London, on March 23 this year. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £32 and a fine of £80. Orders were also made for the road to be destroyed.
NAZAR ELTAHIR, 59, of Minchery Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 20mph zone in an Audi Q2 at the A219 Fulham Palace Road in London on May 27 last year. He was ordered to pay costs of £130, a victim surcharge of £61 and a fine of £153. He was also handed three penalty points.
ASHLEY CRANE, 30, of The Village Close, Upper Arncott, Bicester, was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen for analysis when ordered to do so by a traffic officer in Maidenhead on July 21 last year. Crane was banned from the road for 12 months and ordered to pay costs of £300 and a fine of £300.
LEDION PANXHA, 39, of Wolsey Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving in a black Audi A7 with 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on the M40 at junction eight on February 21 this year. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £461 and a fine of £1,153. He was also banned from the road for 36 months.
