Scales of Justice results from Oxford Magistrates' Court

EDMOND PROFKA, 61, of Ironstones, Banbury, pleaded guilty to exceeding a 30mph speed limit at Warwick Road, Banbury, on October 6 last year. The speed recorded was 38mph. He was ordered to pay costs of £120, a victim surcharge of £16 and a fine of £40. He was also handed three penalty points.

JAMIE TERRY, 42, of Patrick Haugh Road, Upper Arncott, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with requirements of being on the sex offenders register in Eastbourne on May 4 this year. He also pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order in East Sussex and Oxfordshire between May 1 2024 and November 7 last year. He was jailed for 12 months.

TAYLOR FROST, 25, of Brewery Court, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to one count of drug driving at Millbrook Road West, Southampton, in a Peugeot 206 on December 6 last year. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £120 and a fine of £300. He was also banned from the road for 12 months.

MICHAIL SARIMPELAS, 24, of Patrick Haugh Road, Upper Arncott, pleaded guilty to two counts of drugs driving in a VW Jetta at Charlynch Road, Bridgwater, on January 16 this year. He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis, driving without third party insurance and failing to stop when ordered to do so by a traffic officer on the same occasion. He was ordered to pay a fine of £280 and a victim surcharge of £112. He was also banned from the road for two years and orders were made for the drugs to be destroyed.

GEORGIA LINDSAY, 27, of Centenary Way, Witney, pleaded guilty to drug driving and driving without a licence on the M25 at Cobham in an Audi A7 on January 7 this year. She was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £48 and a fine of £120. She was also banned from the road for 12 months.

ANDREW PARKER, 64, of Church Close, Longcot, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to speeding in a 20mph zone in a Mercedes Sprinter on the A3212 Millbank in Westminster on November 10 last year. He was ordered to pay costs of £130, a victim surcharge of £68 and a fine of £170. He was also handed three penalty points.

MILES-EARL ABRAHAM, 22, of Birch Road, Ambrosden, Bicester, pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving in a vehicle on Upper Hale Road, Farnham, Surrey, on May 31 this year with 60 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £177 and a fine of £442. He was also banned from the road for 17 months, but this can be reduced by 17 weeks if a course is completed by May 26 next year.

MOHAMED AL-BENANNA, 31, of Woodbridge Road, Barking, pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault in Oxford on April 1 last year. He also pleaded guilty to one count of assaulting a police officer in Abingdon on the same day. He was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. He must also comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 10 days. He must also pay compensation of £200.

SAYDUL ISLAM, 50, of Leon Close, Oxford, pleaded guilty to driving a Nissan on the A40 in London on May 28 this year without a licence, without third party insurance and without a valid test certificate. He was banned from the road for six months and handed eight penalty points. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £48 and a fine of £120.
