A weather warning has been extended for Oxford after large parts of southern England have been hit by thunderstorms and heavy rain overnight.
The alert was first issued yesterday at 11pm with thunderstorms said to be likely with possible travel disruption and some flooding.
It was meant to be in force until 6am this morning but has now been extended until 10am.
The Met Office said thunderstorms are expected through the morning, before gradually clearing from the east.
Drivers should be aware that spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
There is also a chance some train and bus services may be cancelled or delayed where flooding or lightning occurs.
Authorities said there was a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
There is also a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds.
