A woman has been named and charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Bicester.

The incident happened at around 12.01pm on Wednesday, March 13 as police attended a home in Mullein Road in Bicester after receiving reports of a man being injured.

A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene despite receiving emergency treatment by paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service.

Formal identification has taken place and we can confirm the victim as Dale Bond who was aged 45 and from Bicester.

A post-mortem examination has been conducted with the cause of death being confirmed as a stab wound to the chest.

Thames Valley Police opened a murder investigation which led to the arrests of two people on Wednesday night before a person was charged on Friday evening.

Bailey Heywood of no fixed abode but from the Bicester area was charged with one count of murder.

The 22-year-old will appear at Oxford Crown Court where Oxford Magistrates’ Court is sitting, today (Saturday, March 16).

A man in his twenties who was also arrested has been released on police bail.
