General entries for the Oxford Half Marathon have sold out, with a record 13,000 runners registered to take to the city streets next month.
The annual 13.1 mile race, which starts on Broad Street, near Trinity College, and ends on Park Road, is less than a month away on Sunday, October 15.
Large crowds turn out to support runners and dozens of local volunteers help on the day, with live entertainment at various points throughout the course.

Organisers LimeLight Sports Club said it was “very excited” to have sold out this year’s Oxford Half.
Managing director James Hogben said: “With a month to go now, final preparations are in place for many runners, but there is still a huge opportunity for people to run for charity and help raise vital funds for extremely good causes."
The only way to now secure a place for the popular event is by running in support of one of the event’s charity partners.
A limited number of places are still available for national charity partners, which include:
- Cancer Research UK
- Alzheimer’s Society
- Macmillan Cancer Support
- Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity
Runners can also raise money for a string of local charities such as:
- SSNAP
- Special Effect
- Helen & Douglas House
- Oxfordshire Mind
- Restore
- Sobell House
- Oxford Food Hub
- Thames Valley Air Ambulance
- Oxford Hospitals Charity
- Yellow Submarine.
