AN ONLINE survey for people to share their views on Oxford United’s stadium proposals has gone live.
The U’s are looking to build a new ground at ‘The Triangle’, south of Kidlington Roundabout, with the club’s licence agreement at the Kassam Stadium running out in 2026.
On September 19, Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet will decide whether or not to lease or sell land at The Triangle to the club.

The new online survey, found on the council website, will run until July 23.
As part of a second stage of public engagement, there will also be drop-in exhibitions taking place at Kidlington’s Exeter Hall (10am-4pm on June 24, and 1.30pm-7.30pm on June 28), Cutteslowe Community Centre (3.30pm-7pm on July 7) and the county library at the Westgate (10am-4pm on July 8).
Glynis Phillis, the council’s cabinet member for corporate services, said: “This is the second stage of a thorough engagement exercise with stakeholders and the public.
“In April and May, we held meetings with a range of stakeholders exploring early views about the use of the land at The Triangle and the potential impact of any new stadium. We’d like to thank all those stakeholders who took part in these discussions.
“Oxford United has shared with the county council the information they believe addresses the strategic priorities set out for the use of this land, and this has been published.
“We’d now like to encourage everyone to share their views with us before we take a decision about the use of the land in September.”
The seven key strategic priorities the U’s must address include: maintaining a green barrier between Oxford and Kidlington, significantly improving the infrastructure connectivity and developing local employment opportunities in Oxfordshire.
Planning permission for a new stadium would be required from Cherwell District Council, as the local planning authority.
