Headteacher Jane MacLachlan said: “We are delighted with the report. We are so pleased that the inspector saw what a wonderful school Glory Farm is and how the changes we have made have been really positive for all our children.

“The process was detailed and rigorous and we are very pleased with the findings.

“We would like to thank all those who took part in the inspection – staff, governors, parents and children alike.”

During the inspection, Ofsted praised the school for its commitment to teaching reading and phonics across all year groups.

It also recognised how pupils get to engage in a wide range of experiences beyond the curriculum, including the Erasmus international school exchange programme and various projects linked to the arts curriculum.

Glory Farm Primary School has the International Schools Award and the Artsmark Gold.

The inspector found that Glory Farm Primary School is not only good, but that it is a school that continuously strives to improve and excel through its high expectations.

Education consultant Kevin Burrell said: “I have been working with the school over the past three years and I've been impressed with the high quality of discussion and debate about education at the school.

“Leaders have been ambitious for the children and expected high standards from staff. As a result of this, when walking around the school and visiting classrooms, I saw increasingly effective teaching and happy children absorbed in their learning.”

A spokesperson for Ofsted said that Pupils behave extremely well, and work hard in their lessons and are motivated and engaged in their learning.

The report highlights the many effective provisions the school brings for all children studying there, and also recognises that the learning environment is “fully inclusive”.

As well as inspecting the school, Ofsted took into consideration the viewpoints of parents which found that of the parents who responded to their questionnaire, 100 per cent would recommend Glory Farm to other families.
