A man who threatened to bomb two secondary schools in Oxfordshire has named a third target school.

Police launched an investigation on Wednesday, May 24, after a man sent a message to the Oxford Mail claiming he was going to bomb The Marlborough School in Woodstock.

Police confirmed they found no credible threat.

On Thursday, May 26, the man then made a new threat to bomb Gosford Hill School in Kidlington and renewed his threat to bomb The Marlborough School.

Today, Friday, May 26, he sent a message to this newspaper to say Cherwell School in Oxford is now a target.

Thames Valley Police confirmed it continues to investigate the messages to identify those involved.

A spokesperson said: "We would like to reiterate that that there is no credible threat at this time.

"We would ask that anyone receiving messages of this nature to contact the police by calling 101 or using our online form referencing INC-20230524-0346."
