A well-preserved World War 2 RAF bomber station is supporting the county’s tourism sector through its varied events calendar.

Bicester Heritage has become a national visitor attraction, with regular classic car events drawing in more than 7,000 visitors each time.

The site also hosted Tuff Nutterz, the UK’s largest bouncy obstacle course – a 300 metre inflatable maze – during April, with around 5,000 guests enjoying the course.

In July, the site will host the world’s largest vegan camping festival, Vegan Camp Out, with singer-songwriter Sam Ryder and comedian Romesh Ranganathan among the confirmed line-up.

Associate director of events Liz Pilling said: “While we are thrilled to be recognised as the centre of excellence for historic motoring in the UK, it’s exciting to open up our site to other attractions for visitors from within Oxfordshire and beyond.”
