A FISHING lake will be closed next week due to allow work to take place on trees.
Marlborough Pool in Cassington, near Oxford, will be shut from Monday to Wednesday to allow for woodland management.
The lake, set in an 11-acre plot, is home to approximately 200 carp and is popular for fishing.
Malborough pool joined the body of waters managed by the Abingdon and Oxford Anglers Alliance in 1948.
A notice has been placed on the gates at the lake to let members know of the closure.
It reads: "The lake will be closed to all members on April 3, 4, and 5.
"This is to allow for essential tree work to take place."
