New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to six of Cherwell’s establishments, with one restaurant being hit with a one-star rating.

Under the ‘restaurants, cafes and canteens’ category, three establishments were given new ratings.

Both Norbar Torque Tools Ltd at 6 Wildmere Road, Banbury and The Cone Banbury at 50 Parsons Street, Banbury, were awarded five-star ratings.

However Jenny’s Restaurant at 13 Market Square, Bicester, was given a one-star rating.

Under the ‘pubs, bars and nightclubs’ category The Apothecary Tap at Ground Floor 10-11 Butchers Row, Banbury, was given a five star-rating.

And under the ‘takeaways’ category both Golden Kitchen at 11 Kingsley Road, Bicester, and Yo! To Go! At Tesco Lakeview Drive, Bicester, were rated five.

All establishments were rated in February, expect Jenny’s Restaurant, which was rated in January.
