A national teachers' strike takes place tomorrow (Wednesday, February 1), and schools have been advised to take all reasonable steps to stay open for as many pupils as possible.

The Oxfordshire County Council website states: “Schools may have to restrict attendance in some year groups, but the advice is to prioritise vulnerable children, children of critical workers and children preparing for exams.”

There are further proposed strike days in March too.

Oxfordshire County Council's Emergency School Closures page will not provide advance warning of either partial or full school closures due to strike action.

Parents and carers are told to wait for advice from your child’s school about their plans.
