NICK Easter has made his first signings since becoming director of rugby at Chinnor.

The Thame side announced the double signing of Henry Pearson and Finn Theobald-Thomas, who have joined the club on dual registration from Gloucester for a month.

For 19-year-old tighthead prop Pearson, it marks a return to his home club having graduated into Gloucester’s senior academy last summer.

Pearson joined up with the Gloucester Rugby Pathway at Hartpury College, aged 16, and helped the Under-18s win the RFU ACE League last year.

He has recently been with Chinnor’s National League 1 rivals Cinderford on dual registration terms.

England Under-20s hooker Theobald-Thomas, also 19, joined the Worcester Warriors academy in the summer of 2021, having previously been part of the Under-18 side which finished third in the Premiership Academy League in 2019/20.

Theobald-Thomas has spent time on dual registration with Stourbridge, Coventry and Nottingham, while he made his Warriors debut in the Premiership Cup back in November 2021.

Following Worcester’s administration and expulsion from the Gallagher Premiership, Theobald-Thomas – who can also play in the back row – signed for Gloucester last October.

Chinnor reported that the duo are in contention to make their debuts tomorrow night when they welcome Rosslyn Park to Kingsey Road.

Former England player Easter joined Chinnor last month.
