The county is currently in the grip of a cold spell which has seen sub-zero temperatures and snow fall in recent days.

Pupils at The Cooper School in Bicester were escorted off site and have been told to remain at home today (December 13) while the heating remains off.

A spokesperson for the school said two teams of engineers are booked to come to the premises today to repair the boiler, with hopes the school can reopen tomorrow (December 14).

“Work will be set for all lessons on Google Classroom to ensure students can continue to learn,” the spokesperson added.
