The park is now a sea of sparkling colour, and whilst the trail is open festive tunes will play, and Christmas messages will be displayed on the house, getting visitors in a festive mood.

Kindly supported by Bicester Village, this year promises to be bigger and better than last year’s inaugural event, and as well as the lights trail there will be Christmas refreshments and artisan crafts and Santa’s Grotto.

Bicester’s mayor Alex Thrupp said: “We are delighted to be able to stage this event and once again thankful to Bicester Village for supporting it.

“Last year’s lights trail had great feedback from residents and was one of our most popular events in 2021.

“This year we have built on that success by not only extending the trail to take place over two weeks, but the event will include Christmas refreshments, artisan crafts and Santa’s grotto in the park.”

Major improvement work has taken place in Garth Park to upgrade footpaths to ensure the park and trail is accessible to all.

Entry slots will take place every 30 minutes and run from 4.30pm until 9.00pm.

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £2.50 for young people aged six to 16, fives and under are free.

Santa’s Grotto tickets should also be booked in advance online.
