Drivers across Oxfordshire will have several National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.

Oxford: 

• A34, from 6am August 1 2022 to 11.59pm September 30 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange, Lane closures on the exit slips for Oxfordshire County Council works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A34, from 8pm December 2 2022 to 6am January 28 2023, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Botley to Peartree, carriageway closure for structures maintenance, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.

• A34, from midnight, December 12 to 11.59pm December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 northbound and southbound, Peartree Interchange to Botley, diversion only for Oxfordshire County Council.

West Oxfordshire: 

• A43, from 9pm November 27 to 6am November 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 10, entry slip closure due to maintenance work.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M40, from 9pm December 1 to 5am December 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 10, exit slip road closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 8pm December 9 to 6am December 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 9 to junction 10, Lane closure for maintenance works.

South Oxfordshire: 

• M40, from 9pm November 29 to 5am November 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 8a to junction 8, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm December 4 to 6am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 8 to junction 9, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm December 4 to 6am December 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 8 to junction 9, Hard shoulder closure for maintenance works.

• M40, from 9.30pm December 6 to 6am December 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 7 to junction 4, Lane closures due to maintenance work.

• M40, from 9.30pm December 11 to 6am December 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 9 to junction 8, Lane closure for maintenance works.

Cherwell: 

• A43, from 9pm November 27 to 6am November 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 10, entry slip closure due to maintenance work.
