A village’s 36th pantomime will help to raise money for a mental health charity.

Every year since 1986 – except during Covid – the Launton Village Players have put on a pantomime, and since 1991 they have been raising money for charity.

The show for 2023 will be their 36th pantomime, Hickory Dickory Dock, and tickets go on sale Friday, November 18 here – with proceeds going to Nai’s House, in Bicester.

The show’s producer, Celia Evans, who has been involved in all 36 pantos, said: “This year tickets are on sale before Christmas so can make a great Christmas present for families.

“Our seven shows will be in Cooper School Performance Hall over half term, on February 15-18.

“To help people with the cost-of-living crisis we are offering family discounts for all shows, as well as early bird discounts for those who book before January 1, 2023.

“Hickory Dickory Dock is a less well-known panto story, but includes all the usual pantomime elements.

“Our story is set in Launtonia, and trouble begins when the baddie King breaks the magical town clock.

“This is a family pantomime and is suitable for all ages.

“Come and enjoy Bicester’s biggest, most magical, and award-winning panto, as well as helping to raise funds for Nai’s House.”
