AN Oxfordshire MP has welcome last year’s winner of the Christmas card competition to Parliament.

Conservative MP for Banbury, Victoria Prentis, invited Isabelle, from Bure Park Primary School in Bicester to Parliament this week.

The pupil was joined by her family who enjoyed a tour of the Palace, watched the Speaker's Procession, and also had the opportunity to watch the Department for Education Oral Questions from the Public Gallery.

Commenting on the family’s visit, Ms Prentis said: “I was delighted to have welcomed Isabelle to Westminster.

“Isabelle’s creative and colourful design depicting a festive Houses of Parliament really caught my eye last year.

“I had a lovely chat with them in Westminster Hall before their tour. We discussed just about everything including school, what job they wanted to do when they were older and even our new Prime Minister.”
