A North Oxfordshire MP has asked for public opinion on which pub she should nominate for a community award.

Posting on social media, North Oxfordshire MP Victoria Prentis said: “I’m looking for your views on which pub in North Oxfordshire I should nominate for this year’s Community Pub Hero Awards.

“This pub will have gone the extra mile to support our community, whether through running community events, raising money for charity or providing support for vulnerable groups.

The overwhelming majority of respondents cast their vote for The Nightingale pub, in Bicester.

The Community Pub Hero Awards is a competition run by PubAid, a working party founded in 2009 which is dedicated to promoting pubs as a force for good in their local communities.
