A man has died after competing in the London Marathon.
The 36-year-old, from South East England, , collapsed between miles 23 and 24, London Marathon Events said in a statement.
The man received immediate medical treatment and an ambulance arrived within three minutes.
However, he later died in a London hospital.

In a statement, London Marathon Events expressed their “sincere condolences” to the man’s friends and family.
“Everyone involved in the organisation of the London Marathon would like to express sincere condolences to his family and friends,” they said.
They added that the man’s family have requested privacy at this time.
The cause of death has yet to be established.
The man was one of more than 40,000 people set off for the annual 26.2-mile run from Blackheath in south-east London to the finish line on The Mall.
Organisers said the race will be returning to its traditional spring slot in 2023, with the ballot for places to run on April 23 open until 9pm on October 7.
