As part of hospitality week, a prison charity is asking inmates to donate food from their canteen to a food bank.

The Clink Kitchens, a charity which runs courses in the main kitchen at HMP Bullingdon, delivering qualifications in food production and cooking, is hosting a food bank collection event from October 10 to 28.

A spokesperson for the charity said: “We want to help people on the outside who are struggling.

“We are asking inmates at HMP Bullingdon to pop something into the box located in the main office on their wing, and post their name on a piece of paper to be drawn in a raffle for a prize.

“The wing that collects the most will receive a cake made from the Clink students at Bullingdon.”
