Heritage group shares photos of Queens visit to RAF Bicester

Bicester Heritage, a classic car and automotive specialist hub located on a former World War two RAF Bomber Training Station site in Bicester, has shared photos of the Queen’s visit to RAF Bicester in 1965.

A spokesperson for Bicester Heritage on its Twitter feed said: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of her majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, and extend sincere condolences to the Royal Family.

“These special photos, taken during a visit to RAF Bicester in 1965, have today taken on a new poignancy.”

The photos show the Queen meeting RAF personnel, and subsequently sitting on a bench with them enjoying an off-camera event.
