New Public Space Protection Order issued in Bicester

The new rule has come into force as Cherwell District Council, in partnership with Thames Valley Police, has issued a Public Space Protection Order.

It allows the council to deal “more robustly and effectively” with anti-social behaviour that has a “detrimental impact” on the town.

Anyone above above the age of criminal responsibility can be fined for are consuming alcohol or/and failing to surrender alcohol.

The places people could be fined are Wesley Lane, Sheep Street, Bell Lane, Manorsfield Road, Bure Place, Crown Walk, Market Square, Church Street, Causeway, Old Place Yard, Launton Road, Deans Court, Victoria Road, and Backway Road.
